Question by HoneyPot ♥: Ideas on home decorating on a budget?
i’m wondering if there are any websites for cheap but stylish home items. . i’m in particular looking for a sofa but also other bits and bobs like cushions. i’m moving into my first home with my boyfriend and we’re in our 20′s. Any ideas about decorating on a budget would be much appreciated.

I find tons of stuff on craigslist.org all the time. You just need to really look through the ads. Check the Antiques, furniture, general, and house hold sections for what you want. My experience is, if they didn’t post a picture they aren’t serious about selling it. Of course there’s always an exception.

Lots of kids start with Ikea. Paint after decorating though.
find Garage sales in your Area ! old sofa can just get new upholstery and voila brand new.
old table cabinets and chairs can just get new paint or varnish and some few wood trimmings available in local DIY stores, and new hardware, voila brand new.
and in painting your house choose neutral, cheery and light colors to give your new house a feel of elegance.
furnitures, nick nacks and other stuff does not need to be brand new, if you guys have attic and storages in you parent’s housses try to rumage some stuffs there which you can re use , re new and re design before you buy new stuffs
